The Secondary Section Stories – 25/06

As our last newsletter for the year, it seems fitting that I talk about what a great year we have had and how fabulous the end to the school year has been.

I am proud of how well our school has navigated the covid pandemic this year.

Students have been resilient and positive about their learning, despite the challenges they have faced. Socially, they have been really creative with finding ways to interact without breaching the restrictions. Teachers have been amazingly adaptable and focused on still providing quality learning opportunities for students. At school, we have felt supported by parents and have appreciated your participation in online events throughout the year.

So well done to all of us – we triumphed together.

This last week in secondary we have on an alternative program and students have really been able to put their skills and learning into action. The students ran a 2 day MUN conference where they directed, discussed and debated there way through a mock version of a Model United Nations session.

We also acknowledged all our secondary award winners for the year in many categories – Academic Achievement, Improvement, Citizenship, Leadership and Event winners or participants.

Other events included a middle school French assembly and a whole school Drama & Music event all performed by our amazing students. A highlight had to be the ice cream van visit!!! We finished off the week with an exciting adventure to Bobbejaanland for all secondary students.

It has been an amazing finish to an amazing year.
