Help! My Child is Stressed

Stress is a normal part of life. Some stress is good and can motivate us while other stress is harmful and will prevent us from achieving our goals. Children and teens experience stress in much the same way as adults do. School expectations, parental and societal pressure, and tension at home can trigger stress ranging from mild to extreme. If left unresolved, stress can lead to serious physical, emotional and academic problems.

Learning to recognise what stress looks like for your child, understanding what situations cause stress, and helping your child develop strategies to alleviate their stress will encourage a healthy and resilient mindset that will help them succeed.
