Our student services team offers a variety of support for students of all ages, including: individual and small group tutoring for English language learners, speech and language therapy, special educational planning, and connections to outside resources for educational testing and other specialised services. One terrific tool we use for students who are beginning to learn English or those who need to develop more fluency, is the online literacy program – Learning Village.
Students can login to this program at school or at home and enjoy games and activities that connect to a range of interesting topics, such as: volcanoes, weather, food, festivals, animals and friendships. Students earn points with the successful completion of each game level and receive rewards that allow them to access additional games. This program is already offered to students who are currently enrolled in academic support programs; however, you can enroll your child for personal use at any time.
