Secondary Newsletter 28/11/2025
To our valued parents and ISBe community members,
Today marks the final day of the block exams, an important moment in the academic year. Throughout the week, students have demonstrated strong focus and commitment. Many expressed a sense of achievement as they completed their final papers, while a few anxious faces were noticed, particularly among Class 6 students who are still developing their confidence in formal examinations. We are proud of their efforts and the maturity they have shown. Teachers are now dedicating their time to carefully marking the assessments to ensure that students receive detailed feedback and clear next steps during the coming week.
Alongside the exams, the Student Council has continued to enrich school life by organising a growing programme of student-led clubs and societies during break times. These include opportunities for creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking across a range of interests such as:
• Rubik’s problem-solving
• Visual arts
• Debate and public speaking
• E-sports and digital competition
• Film appreciation
• Reading and book discussions
• Mathematics and physics enrichment
• House-related activities supporting community identity
These initiatives provide a healthy balance during a demanding academic period. The enthusiasm shown by participants reflects a strong culture of leadership, responsibility, and supportive peer relationships.
This week also featured the lively and much-enjoyed Unicorn event, with activities such as Family Feud that brought laughter, friendly competition, and excitement to the community. It has been encouraging to see students stepping forward to organise events that promote connection and school spirit.
We look forward to welcoming you tomorrow at our Festival of Lights celebration. It will be a wonderful opportunity to gather as a community, honouring the values of light, hope, and unity as we move into the next stage of the term.

We wish all students a restful weekend ahead and look forward to the productive and engaging weeks to come.
Kind regards,
Warm regards,
Tala Issa
