Secondary Newsletter 23/05/2025
To our valued parents and ISBe community members,
I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the graduating class of the IBDP 2025, who completed their final exams this past Wednesday. Their dedication and hard work throughout this rigorous programme have been truly commendable. We eagerly look forward to celebrating their achievements at the graduation ceremony on the 14th of June.
Meanwhile, our IGCSE students are also progressing steadily, with only three exams remaining. We encourage them to maintain their focus and determination as they approach the final stretch of their assessments.
Recently, I had the pleasure of attending the COBIS conference, which provided valuable new insights into educational practices and developments. The experience was enriching, and I am excited to implement some of the innovative ideas gained to further enhance our school community.
We also hosted a successful University Fair, thanks to the excellent organisation by Ms Tamara. We were delighted to welcome representatives from Bocconi University (Milan, Italy), VUB Brussels School of Governance (Brussels), EHL (Switzerland – specialising in hospitality), IE University (Madrid and Segovia, Spain), and Modul University (Vienna, Austria). This event provided our students with valuable guidance
Our recent Talent Show was a remarkable success, showcasing the incredible abilities of our students across a variety of disciplines. A special thank you to Ms Nicholas and Mr Aldo for their outstanding work in organising and supporting this event. I am very much looking forward to seeing the finalists perform at the upcoming End of Year Show, where their talents will shine even brighter.

Class 6 had an exciting trip to Gravensteen Castle in Ghent this week. The students explored the medieval castle, climbed the towers, and learned about knights, armour, and castle life. Everyone enjoyed the stunning views from the top and had fun discovering the castle’s history. A big thank you to Ms Doman for organising the trip and to all the staff involved in making it such a memorable experience. It was a fun and educational day out!
We are very much looking forward to seeing you at International Day as we come together to celebrate the diversity and spirit of our school community.
Thank you for your continued support.
Warm regards,
Tala Issa
