Secondary Newsletter 06/06/2025

To our valued parents and ISBe community members,

As we near the end of term, our campus continues to be filled with energy, achievement, and creativity.

Congratulations to our Grade 10 students, who have now completed their IGCSE examinations. We commend them for their hard work, dedication, and focus throughout the exam period. This is a significant milestone, and we look forward to celebrating their achievements as they transition into the next phase of their academic journey.

Our recent Business Seminar, held on 28 May, was a great success. Students from Grades 9 to 12 had the opportunity to hear from distinguished speakers, including Mr. Pierre Masai, former CIO of Toyota Motor Europe, Mr. Sandeep Karyotakalam, and Mrs. Masai. The seminar offered valuable real-world insights and inspired thoughtful discussions.  Special thanks to Ms. Amy for organising and coordinating this enriching event.

During one of their French lessons, Class 11 students had the pleasure of welcoming Tatiana Benchea, a Belgian-Romanian writer and therapist. As the title of her book suggests, L’arbre voyageur (The Travelling Tree), students were taken on a journey across different epochs and countries. The session encouraged them to gain new perspectives on personal growth and resilience when facing life’s challenges. Our sincere thanks to Madam Bianca for arranging this inspiring literary encounter.

Our annual Sports Fun Day was filled with energy, laughter, and team spirit. Students took part in a variety of games and competitions, showcasing their enthusiasm, resilience, and school pride. A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Gabor for leading the organisation of this wonderful event and to all staff who supported on the day.

The recent Haiku Competition offered students a creative outlet to express ideas through this elegant poetic form. The entries were reflective, imaginative, and beautifully written. Thank you to the House Committee for organising the competition and encouraging creative expression across the Secondary School.

As always, we thank our students, staff, and families for their continued support and enthusiasm as we close out a vibrant and productive term.

Warm regards,
