Primary Newsletter 23/05/2025

Dear Parents and Carers,

We have been working hard in preparation for International Day. We are hoping the weather will remain good for the afternoon, but we will all have a good time regardless.

On the 13th May we held the Primary Talent Show. We had many talented performers sharing their acts and we would like to congratulate all of our participants. We had a public vote and a jury vote. Our public vote winners will be performing at the Award Ceremonies at the end of the year and our jury winners will be performing at the end of year show. We are looking forward to the winners performing again.

On the 20th May Early Years and Class 3 had their trip to De Schorre for their sensory walk. This was great messy fun and the children really benefited from the experience, growing in confidence and managing new experiences. They were able to make use of some of the other facilities at De Schorre and had a lot of fun.

All of our interns complete their placement today but some of them will be joining us tomorrow at international day. We have appreciated all that they have done in the school and we know they have learnt a lot from our professional teachers. We presented them with small gifts of appreciation.

On the 16th May Class 3 shared their wonderful work on the human body. They had prepared their own slides and posters to share with the rest of Primary. They even included some humour and spoke very sensibly about some of the more ‘ikky’ functions of the human body. They finished off by sharing a song that uses the vocabulary they have been learning in Dutch all about fairytales. They performed the song very well too. Thank you to Class 3 and their teachers Ms Jenny and Ms Kristien for supporting them.

Today it was time for the Class 5 assembly.  Class 5 shared some really interesting information with us about Jamaica. In small groups they had carried out research about the island and some of its traditions and cultural aspects. They had prepared slides and then shared their information with the rest of Primary. They were very professional, spoke well and were a credit to themselves. Thank you to class 5 and Mr Cruz for supporting them.

The Primary sports morning will take place on June 2nd at the sports centre in Aartselaar. All parents and family members are welcome to attend.

Class 1 and 2 are off to PIME in Lier for their school trip on the 4th June.

Class 3 and 4 will be going on their Sporta trip on the 11th June. Please remember that all trips are mandatory.

The school end of year show is coming up on the 19th June. Mr Jonathon has written an article to let you know what to expect please take a look. We hope to see everyone there supporting the school.

We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow too.
