Interdisciplinary Learning at ISBe

Interdisciplinary learning teaches students to make connections between different subjects. The world is complex and everything is interconnected, so at ISBe we make sure our teaching and learning caters for that.

The Age of Exploration is an important unit that students cover in class 7. But why limit this ‘exploration of exploration’ to just one subject?

When we think about exploration more broadly, important questions arise, like: ‘How and what have humans explored over time’ and ‘what does the word mean to us today?’

Our Class 7 students made sure to explore exactly that. They did this through research, poetry and performance, culminating in a collaborative effort to ‘explore exploration.’ Have a look at the results below!

Through research

Through Poetry
